So sorry to hear of Gerald's passing. I always enjoyed working with him and listening to his opinions on politics and whatever the hot topic of the day was. May your memories bring you comfort in the coming days.

Gerald's passing is a great loss to his family as well as the horse racing community in Alberta. We shall miss him standing in his special place at the rail of the paddock watching the horses. Prayers are with his family.

posted by Byron and Rose Kluth : Byron and I first met Gerald at the paddock at Whoop Up Downs in Lethbridge some 10 years ago. From then on we always had good conversations with him and enjoyed his opinions about the horses and politics. Always fun to see him. And we will miss him as we know you are going to. Our sincere sympathy to his family. : Jan 09, 2018

I had met Gerald up in the north country where he ran Bonnets wireline service and I was an RCMP officer at the time which resulted in me checking his trucks on the highway every so often. I got to know him through racing and had many visits with him at evergreen park and down at lethbridge. He was a very nice kind man and always took the time to talk , especially about horses which was his passion. He was very successful at racing and shared his knowledge with others. He will be missed greatly and was taken to early in life. I will be thinking of him every time I go to the race track and I am sure he will be racing in a better place. My condolences to all the remaining friends and family. He was a good man.

posted by Terry LINK : I knew Gerald since about 1995 when we met up in the Dawson Creek area and at Evergreen Park where my dad ran horses. I later got the racing bug as well and starting running and raising quarter horses. : Jan 09, 2018
