In Loving Memory Of

Craig Leslie Pellerin

Craig Leslie Pellerin, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of DeBolt, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017, in DeBolt, AB, at the age of 28 years.

Craig was born in Grande Prairie on August 15, 1988. He took his schooling at Ridgevalley High School, and one year at GRPC, where he also played on the Wolves Basketball team. He then went on to the University of Lethbridge where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Kinesiology. After 18 years of school, he decided he needed a break and went to work with Trican Well Services until the oilfield slowed. He then came farming with his parents and brother.

Craig was larger than life, not only in size, but also in personality. He loved children and lived life to the fullest. You were never allowed to leave without a hug.

He loved to dance and had moves that sometimes defied gravity. He was passionate about anything outdoors, whether it be hiking in the mountains, extreme snowcat, or high-speed downhill skiing and mountain biking. It was through his other two passions, off road jeeping and cooking, that he met the love of his life, Pam and her children. They had just recently gotten engaged and were planning a summer wedding.

He will be sadly missed by his fiancé Pam Ball and her children: Brody, Alleigh, and Aydyn; his parents Les and Debbie Pellerin; sister Tosha (Alexis) Trahan and their children Madison, Phoenix and Annabelle; brother Mark (Ashley) Pellerin and their children Everett and Mason; close friends Matt and Charlotte McGrath; Aunts and Uncles: Garth (Rose) Koll, Mansell (Susan) Koll, Sharon Mazurkewich, Mike Metituk (Brenda); Murray (Rene) Metituk, Ted (Barb) Metituk, Karen (Tim) Nielsen, Vicki Metituk (Steve), David (Jeanine) Pellerin, Miles (Irene) Pellerin, and Colin (Candace) Pellerin; as well as numerous cousins and many friends he made through his life’s journey.

Craig was predeceased by both sets of grandparents: Vic and Lois Metituk, and Harvey and Elsa Pellerin; Uncle Doug Russill and Aunt Beryl Merriam.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at 6:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017, at 11:00am, at Gospel Light Church in DeBolt.

Memorial donations may be made to Children's Wish Foundation of Canada (200, 9750 51 Ave. NW, Edmonton, AB, T6E 0A6) or to Canadian Cancer Society (103, 9805-97 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8B9).
