In Loving Memory Of

Bonnie Doon Lunn

Longtime resident of Tangent, AB, Bonnie Lunn passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the QEII Hospital, at the age of 90 years.

Bonnie was born March 12, 1928 in Westbourne, MB to James and Lottie Hanna. She was raised, along with two brothers and one sister, on the family farm. She grew up loving being outside, helping with chores on the farm, horseback riding, and walking to school “uphill both ways”.

At the age of 15, she met James Lunn, who would become her husband and lifelong partner four years later. They were married July 9, 1947, and moved to the Peace River area in the fall of 1952 to homestead with three small children. They were blessed with four more children over the years.

She worked hard throughout her life: helping on the farm, gardening, and putting up preserves for future use. Many picnics were enjoyed, community groups, curling and endless card games played with the neighbours. In her later years, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and spending time with their fur baby, Nipper. She always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie will be forever in the hearts of her loving husband of 70 years James Lunn; children Murray (Vivian), Arnold (Judy), Carolyn (Rick), Robert (Carmen), Judy (Jerry), and Brenda (Rob); 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; brothers: Dennis (Kaye), and James (Norma); brothers in-law: Harvey, and Donald (Ronnie); sister in-law Grace; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Roy, parents James and Lottie, sister Letitia, father and mother in-law John and Margaret, brother in-law Bill, and sister in-law Ena (Mac),

A Bonnie’s request, there will be no funeral service held.

“You will be forever in our hearts”.
