Harold Ljuden

 

Harold Ljuden, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Fort St. John, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, at the age of 79 years.

Harold was born in Prince Albert, SK, on April 1, 1939. He lived in Deer Ridge, SK before moving to High Prairie, AB.

He met his wife, Marie, in High Prairie at the age of 18, and they were married January 26, 1962. They moved to Fort St. John and had two sons.

Harold attended SAIT to become an autobody mechanic. He later owned Nordbo Services Ltd., (a busing company).

He was known as a social butterfly, loving and caring, mechanically minded, always fixing or tinkering on something, could build or fix anything, and hardworking. He also enjoyed farming on his hobby farm, camping, fishing traveling (snowbird to Arizona), building, golfing and curling.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Marie Ljuden; children Tom Ljuden, and Tim (Holly) Ljuden; grandchildren: Kimberly (Jordan) and Hayden (Tom’s children), Parker and Miranda, and Matthew (Tim’s children); and great-grandchildren: Leiden, Abby, Emily (Kimberly and Jordan LaRiviere children).

He was predeceased by his parents Ture and Valborg Ljuden, and brother Gordon Ljuden.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Memorial donations may be made to Grande Prairie Masonic Hall (11315 94A St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 6T6).
