Ramona Florence McKinney


January 17, 1946 - August 8, 2011

 

Ramona McKinney, longtime resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 at the age of 65 years. Ramona was born January 17, 1946 in Drumheller, Alberta. She married Wayne McKinney on August 16, 1969 and they had three children. Ramona was a part of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada as well as the Ladies Auxiliary. She will be sadly missed by her husband Wayne; daughters Debbie Graham and Roxanne (Fred) Heintz; son Lloyd (Carla) McKinney; grandchildren Chrystal (Justin) Taylor, Blair Bell, Cody Price, Brylie Heintz, Tryten Heintz, Kyle McKinney, Ashley McKinney; great-grandchild Pyper Taylor; brothers Charles Commet, Jim (Fran) Commet, Terry (Barb) Commet; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 2:00pm at Oliver’s Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

We have fond memories of Ramona back in the 70's when Clairmont was the place to be. We are glad to have known this great lady and send our deepest sympathies to you.
