Ingrid Lillian Lock

January 13, 1946 - August 12, 2011


Ingrid Lock, longtime resident of Sexsmith, Alberta, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2011 at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, Alberta after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 65. Ingrid was born January 13, 1946 in Sexsmith, Alberta. She married Don Lock of Beaverlodge, and they had one daughter. Ingrid enjoyed her horses, spending time with loved ones and being outdoors. Getting together with friends and family to have a fire or a glass of wine were things she really loved. Ingrid will be deeply missed by her husband Don; daughter Jody (James); grandchildren Madison and Jameson; brothers Dale (Claudette) and Richard (Rhonda); sister Verna; and many other family and friends. Ingrid was predeceased by her parents Clyde and Pearl Ophus; and brother-in-law Mike Michaud. A memorial service celebrating Ingrid’s life will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 11:00am at the Grande Prairie Alliance Church (15502-102 Street). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alberta S.P.C.A. (
