In Loving Memory Of

Hazel Ethel Javorsky

Hazel Ethel Javorsky, longtime resident of Hythe passed away at Beaverlodge Hospital on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at the age of 61 years. Hazel was born in Hythe, Alberta on July 17, 1950. She lived in Beaverlodge until she moved to Edmonton when she was in high school. She married Ken Javorsky on July 17, 1971. They moved to Fort McMurray in January 1973. In June they started their family with the birth of their son Richard followed by Gregory in October of 1974 and Kristina in March 1978. In the summer of 1981 they moved back to Hythe, then out to the farm at Lymburn in 1983 where they lived for the rest of her life. Hazel was strongly involved with volunteering in the community. She used to work with the Red Cross helping to organize and run their mobile blood donor clinics. While her children were in school, Hazel helped with Richard’s Peer Support Team in High School and helped out in the Hythe Elementary School while Kristina was a student there. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant in the Elementary School and an Assistant Secretary in the Junior High School in Hythe for a few years. Her volunteering included helping the sewing programs for the Junior High students as well as Sewing for Kids in Grande Prairie. For the last few years, she also made pyjamas for the children of her children’s’ friends for Christmas. She will be survived and sorely missed by her husband of forty years Ken Javorsky, her sons Richard & Gregory, daughter Kristina and granddaughter Tatianna. She’s also survived by her brother Franklin and his children and her sister Gail and her children and grandchildren. Hazel will also be missed by brothers and sisters in-law: Herb, George, Esther & Earl, Ethel & Dave, Irene & Roger, Phyllis & Rob and all their families. She will also be missed by her various aunts, uncles, cousins and her extended family she gathered over the years too numerous to list. Hazel was predeceased by her father Rikard, her mother Pearl, her uncles: Harold, Henry, Herb & Charles and her aunt Lillian. The memorial service will be held at the Lymburn Hall located at the intersection of Township Road 734 and Range Road 124 west of Hythe, Alberta on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital.
