In Loving Memory Of

Geraldine Mae Moldenhauer

November 13, 1941 - July 3, 2012

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Geraldine Moldenhauer on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, Alberta, with her family by her side. Gerry grew up in Saskatoon attending Wilson School and City Park Collegiate. After graduation she attended Saskatoon Business College and worked as a secretary at the Saskatoon Airport. Gerry lived in Colonsay for many years raising her five children. She moved to Beaverlodge, Alberta in 1997. There she was very active in her TOPS group, enjoyed socializing with her friends at Amisk Court over lunch daily and loved talking on the phone to family and friends. She loved watching football, hockey, golf and curling. She also looked forward to her trips home to Saskatchewan to visit. Gerry was predeceased by her parents Gerald and Irene Carn. Gerry is lovingly remembered by her children, Lori (Gord) Buckingham, Jodi and Braden of Colonsay, SK, Sharon (Rick) Phillips, Mark, Craig, Nikki and Sherri of Grande Prairie AB, Don Moldenhauer of Saskatoon, Leslie Moldenhauer and her son Landin of White City, SK, Dale Moldenhauer (Andrea), Josh, Cassie and Jennelle of Martensville, SK as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also remembered by siblings Jackie (Melvin) Campbell, Murray (Joan) Carn and sister in-law Chris (Len) Breckner all of Saskatoonk, SK. A special thank-you to Dr. Richard Martin and the staff at the QEII Hospital for their amazing care. At Gerry’s request there will be no funeral. She will be laid to rest in Colonsay at a private graveside service for family. There will be a celebration of Gerry’s life for family and friends in the Colonsay Community hall at 12:00 (noon) on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.

I was sad to hear of the passing of your mother. I ran into Rick of all places in Costco in Saskatoon. It was interesting to read that your mother and I attended the same schools in Saskatoon only 25 years a part. It would have been interest to have spoken to her abour this. My prayers and thoughts are with your family.
