Doris May Phillips


April 12, 1925 - July 14, 2012

 

Dilly {Doris} May Phillips passed away at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie on July 14th, 2012 at the age of 87 years. She was born on the Morgan family farm near Sexsmith, Alberta on April 12, 1925. She married Harry Phillips on October 24, 1945. She is survived by her son Ron [Diane] and their son Russell. She was predeceased by her husband Harry, brother Gordon Morgan, sisters Irene Balderston, Gwen Pettersson, and Helen Mack. A very special thank you to Dilly’s nieces, nephews, their families and old friends. Their help and support over the last few months is very much appreciated. We would also like to thank Dr. Minic and the nursing staff on 4 North at the QE11 Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. At Dilly’s request there will be no funeral. She will be laid to rest at a private graveside service at a later date. There will be celebration of Dilly’s life for family and friends at the Golden Age Center on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 1.30pm In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the QEII Hospital Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
