In Loving Memory Of

Irene Dron

March 16, 1938 - July 26, 2012

Irene (Rene) Dron, longtime resident of Hythe, Alberta, passed away at Grande Prairie on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the age of 74 years. Rene was the youngest of 5 children born in Hythe to Richard and Gladys (Nan) Sharkey. After training as a nursing aid, she was married in 1957 to Victor (Vic) Dron, also from Hythe. They raised two children, Janice Lynn and Jeffery Victor on a farm near Lymburn, Alberta. Rene will be sadly missed by her daughter Janice, son Jeffery (Julie-Ann), grandson David (Dawn) Dron, sister Alice (Bubbles) Smith, in-laws: Olga McGeean, Eldy Gould, Walter (Dorothy) Dron, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers Jack and Joseph, and sister Dorothy. Many other relatives and friends have also passed in Rene’s life and await her spirit. The memorial service was held at a family friend’s house in Grande Prairie, on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. The Dron family would like to extend their heart-filled gratitude to the staff of the QEII Hospital for all their kindness.

Janice....we just returned from holidays and learned of your mom's passing. In case you don't remember us, Tom was your mom's room mate in the hospital a couple of years ago and we kept in touch. She was such a special lady. We really enjoyed our phone chats and visits with her. She had such strength and really enjoyed life. We are very sorry for your loss and your mom is in our thoughts and prayers. Tom & Mary Ellen
