His family moved to Grande Prairie in 1957, where he became a well-known individual in the trucking industry. Larry is survived by his wife Lana, daughter Roxanne of Edmonton, special granddaughter Tiara Chambers of Grande Prairie, sister Barbara (Jim) Coombs of Breton, Alberta, also Roger Williams who is like Larry’s adopted son, as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 2:00pm at Five Mile Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the QEII Hospital Foundation

I'm truly saddened to hear of the passing of Larry. He was more of a big brother than a boss. His great sense of humour and never-ending patience made him an awesome teacher and very dear friend. We will meet again one day.
