In Loving Memory Of

Don Michael Yurchak

November 19, 1944 - September 8, 2012

It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Don Yurchak, longtime resident of Grande Prairie, and beloved husband of Marilyn, on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the age of 67 years. Don was born to drywall and played an inaugural role in building homes in Grande Prairie and area, for over 45 years from Whitehorse, Yukon, B.C, Alberta, and Ontario. He taught his trade to his two sons, Vince and Mike, who will be carrying on his work. He also enjoyed his 3:00pm coffee break at A&W with special friends. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 31 years, Marilyn, daughter Daycee (Graham) Evans and grandson Rohnan; two sons, Vince and Mike; daughter Kristy Yurchak; his mother Anne Yurchak (Saskatoon), brother Carl (Edmonton), sister Pauline (Dave) Sefton (Broadview, SK); two nephews Michael and Scott Sefton (Saskatchewan). He will be especially missed by his faithful companion “Sparky”. He was predeceased by his father Harry, sister in-law Fran, father in-law and mother in-law Nick and Kay Osepiuk. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10:00am at Oliver’s Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow.
