Symptom Control & Palliative Care Consult Program – Edmonton Cross Cancer Institute
Clinic for patients in rural communities having problems with pain or other cancer symptoms who do not have access to specialists locally.
This clinic helps patients with the pain and symptoms associated with cancer by providing real-time support to physicians caring for cancer patients in rural and remote communities.
High-definition televisions link the remote care Centre to a multi-disciplinary team at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. The team can then assess the patient without the patient leaving his or her home community.
