Dee Callfas

Administrative Assistant

Dee was born in Edmonton, AB, and relocated to the County of Grande Prairie during her youth. She has resided in the Grande Prairie area for over five decades, which equates to more than 50 years. In 1983, Dee married her spouse, Denny, and they have been married for nearly 42 years. They are the proud parents of five daughters and grandparents to eleven grandchildren.

Dee enjoys reading, gardening, camping, and spending quality time with her family. Her family eagerly anticipates camping at Moody’s Crossing, annual birthday weekend campouts, visiting the cabin, and any opportunity to savor nature and cherish time with their loved ones.

Upon noticing that Oliver’s Funeral Home was hiring, she felt a strong connection. Given her history of working in roles that involved assisting people, she saw this as an opportunity to continue utilizing her skills. Dee began her career as a Nursing Attendant at Swan Haven Nursing Home, subsequently transitioning into a Client Care Aide for Northern Addictions. Following this, she worked for Victim Services in the Domestic Violence Unit as a Domestic Violence Intervention Worker. Working at Oliver’s enables her to apply all the skill sets she has acquired from her diverse work experience.

Her role at Oliver’s provides her with ample opportunities to forge connections with people, offering support and compassion during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
