Obituary For Adam Underwood

It is with great sadness that the family of Adam Underwood announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the age of 37 years old.

Adam will be lovingly remembered and missed by his Mom Bev (Stu), Dad Ken (Kathy), best friend Tianna, and daughter Scarlett; sisters: Laura, Amy, and Katie; brothers: Devon and Nick; as well as all of his extended family and friends.

Adam was predeceased by his grandparents Christina and James Underwood, and Walter and Kathleen Quick.

Adam William Underwood was born on July 14, 1979 in Sarnia, ON. He went to school in Sarnia and had a very close knit group of friends growing up. He started his first job at the Kelsey's Restaurant creating his passion for cooking. He later transferred to London and often talked about his time at Kelsey's as "the good ol’ days." He was a highly valued employee and had a tight knit family of coworkers. There was something about him that anyone who met him couldn't help but love him.

He moved out to Alberta in 2008 and lived in Hinton for a couple years before moving and settling in Grande Prairie. He worked at a few restaurants and oilfield companies before finishing off his career as a security guard.

He met Tianna in 2010 and they had their daughter Scarlett in 2016. Scarlett was the love of Adam’s life, and his pride and joy. Adam was known for his sense of humour and his giggles. He loved the outdoors and spent much of his spare time camping, fishing, shooting, and playing video games. He had a love for animals and always brought home any furry or creepy crawlers that he could find. He was also a diehard Leafs fan and always picked up a conversation with anyone wearing a Leafs hat.

There will be two Celebrations of Life for Adam, the first will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017, at 6:30pm at the Main Hall at Camp Tamarack, 7 km south of Grande Prairie. The second will be in Sarnia, ON, on February 11, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Navy Club.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the The Lung Association (Box 4500 Stn South, Edmonton, AB, T6E 6K2).

Condolences

  • June 24, 2021

I am so sorry for your loss, Adam worked with me at many locations in the London area and had many friends and coworkers that appreciated his kindness, his sense of humour...and his speed at getting the food in the window! I have seen messages from Laura Lee, and Erin, and his passing was shared with us by his friend Ryan...I was unsure if they expressed their condolences and disbelief here, and I thought it was important that you know that we are all thinking of you and remembering Adam.
