Obituary For Albena Eileen Sewell

Albena Eileen Sewell (nee Albina Hedgwig Sawchuk), was born November 8, 1933, at home near Hinton Trail, AB. She went home to God on Friday, May 5, 2017, in Beaverlodge, AB, at the age of 83 years.

The 8th of 10 children born to Jan and Frances Sawchuk. Albena married Stan Sewell Sr. of Garden River, ON First Nation. After he retired from the Canadian Armed Forces, she brought him back to the Peace Country to raise their family.

Albina will be lovingly remembered by her children: Anna (Doug), Trish, Stan Jr. (Jody), and Don; grandchildren: Jon, Zdeña, Mowyn, and Tallulah; and Albina’s special friend Laverne Shade.

She was predeceased by her husband Stan Sr., son Jon, daughter Catherine, parents Jan and Frances, and siblings: Josephine, Steven, Peter, John, and Joe.

She was known and loved by many, and will be missed by all.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 7:00-9:00pm with Prayers at 7:30pm, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Beaverlodge (1107 1 Ave.).

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 12:00pm, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Memorial donations may be made to Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation (800 College Plaza, 8215 112 St.,
Edmonton, AB, T6G 2C8).
