Allan Kimberley Archer, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Nova Scotia, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 55 years.

Allan hailed from Nova Scotia and with that came the Scotian sense of humour and wit. He was a caring man who adored his cats Smoky and Cleo.

Allan was known back home as a hard worker. Even though physical ailments encumbered him, he still looked forward to being back in the work force.

He liked to cook and had many “favorite” recipes. Most of these were savory meats marinated to perfection. At least that’s the skinny from Smoky and Cleo.

Allan was artistic. He especially like to hand-carve small objects like canoes. He often asked for pieces of scrap wood. He carved a lantern from driftwood and that now resides on another hand-made book shelf.

He like visiting and having a good chin-wag. He will be missed by all of us at Willow Place and CMHA.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10:00am at Grande Prairie Cemetery (84^th Ave and 112 St.).
