Obituary For Allen Dwayne Schudlo

It is with sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of Allen Schudlo, our dad, son, brother, uncle and friend. Allen passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the age of 54 years, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Allen will be remembered for his bright smile, humour and love of animals—especially his furry companions, his two cats Leo and Sage.

Allen grew up playing and working on the family farm, and he enjoyed the farm life. His passions were farming, curling, fishing, watching hockey and movies, as well as his love of cooking. He enjoyed hockey; his favourite team was the Las Vegas Golden Knights, and he always had special words about the Edmonton Oilers.

Allen gained many friends over the years. All of who are going to miss his stories, his humour, his many escapades and most of all his friendship.

Allen will be deeply missed by his parents Harry and Emily; son Brandon; daughter Kristin; sisters Karen (Grant) and Leanne(Stephane); niece Megan; nephews Jayden and Nathan; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Allen’s life will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at the Sexsmith Curling Club (9913 99 St). We invite all family and friends to Celebrate Allen with us.

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to all those who cared for Allen during his illness.

Thinking of you and your family. At this sad time. We will always remember the morning we found Allen sleeping in one of our bedrooms! Did not know he was there, so I was shocked to find someone curled up sound asleep there. We laugh about the scare it gave me often. It is the good memories that help us through the tough times and Allen gave many people good memories.
