Alvina Wilhelmina Bertha Krieger passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at her Long Term Care residence in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 81 years.

Alvina was born near Millet, AB on May 10, 1934.

She is survived by daughter Teresa (Ken) Miller; grandchildren: Lisa (Myles) Longphee and Brad (Kelsie) Miller; great-grandchildren: Brandon, Cole, Bryer and Kessa; sister Alice (Tom) McKay; her brother Herman (Erna) Warnke; brother in-law Alfred Krieger; sisters in-law: Chris Forbes-Warnke, Jennie Havanka-Warnke, Lillie Krieger-Porteous and Gertrude Krieger-Klatt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by husband Herman Krieger and parents Gottlieb and Wilhelmine Warnke; nine brothers and their spouses: Theodor (Elsie, Edith), August, Erick (Stella), Gottlieb (Peggy), Carl, Albert (Frieda), Hugo, Reinhold (Anna) and Edward (Dorreen, Betty); four sisters and their spouses: Louise (Fred), Alma (Emil), Eva, and Laura (Syd, John).

Cremation to take place at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie, and with respect for her stated instructions, a Funeral Service will not be held.

In memory of Alvina, the family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the Beaverlodge Hospital Foundation (Box 480, Beaverlodge, AB, T0H 0C0).
