Obituary For Andre Joseph Laferriere
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Andre Laferriere, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, he passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 61 years.
Andre’s interests included riding his Harley, camping, quadding, trips to Vegas, and attending live sporting events (he was a true Montreal Canadiens fan). He also enjoyed travelling to the tropics with Sandy and his fishing trips with his boys Marcel, Shawn and Justin. Andre had an incredible sense of humor, and an amazing passion for life. He worked hard and played even harder. His demeanor was contagious and when Andre walked into a room, he brought an energy that is hard to describe. He was the type of person that saw the good in everyone and everything. There was never a time when he wasn’t smiling. His work ethic was unmatched, and his friendship was valued. He enjoyed good times with his friends and family and laughing around a campfire. Andre loved to give back and took pride in donating to the local community and this just goes to show how incredibly selfless he was.
Left to mourn Andre’s passing is his spouse Sandy; sons: Marcel (Gerri), Shawn (Ashley), Justin (Krystin); brothers: Jean-Guy (Carol-Ann), Gilles, Fern (Rosie), Roger (Colette), Sylvain (Marilyne), Normand (Andrea), and Denis; sister Nicole (Kurt); brothers in-law: Lucien, Dale, Walley (Leslie), and Rick (Sherry); sister in-law Denise; grandchildren: Kiara, Aspen, Savannah, Whitney, Zoe, and Kaiden; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Andre was predeceased by his parents Gaetan and Aline Laferriere, brother Claude, and sister Jeanine.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
