Obituary For Anna Charlotte Kruttgen Zinterer

Anna Zinterer, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Woking, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018, at Grande Prairie Care Centre, at the age of 76 years.

Anna was born in Gressenich, Germany on March 16, 1942. She immigrated to Canada in 1967 and lived in Calgary, AB where she met her husband Murray. They raised three children: David, Jessica, and Andrew. In 1979, they moved to the Peace Country and farmed until 2012. Anna suffered a stroke in 2012 and was moved into the Grande Prairie Care Centre where she resided until her passing.

Anna was determined and strong. She enjoyed farming, volunteering at Mackenzie Place, cards (especially Canasta, and Crib), reading, continual learning, Bible study, and babysitting her grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Murray Zinterer; children: David (Suzanne), Jessica, Andrew (Karla), and Iris; grandchildren: Katharina, Matthew, Kristian, Madison, and Josephine.

She was predeceased by her parents Katharina and Kaspar Kruttgen, brother in-law John Wilger, and niece Liz Wilger.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 9:00am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.) with a luncheon to follow. Viewing will be held prior at 8:30am. Interment will take place at 11:45am at Webster Cemetery (RRd 53 and Hwy 2, North of Sexsmith).

Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke of Alberta (Unit 109, 10126 120 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8H9) or to Grande Prairie Schools Snack Program (http://www.gpcsd.ca/Grande%20Prairie%20Schools%20Snack%20Program.php).

    Keith and i send our deepest sympathy to you in the loss of Anna. I so enjoyed working with her at the hospital and later on in Mexico. She was a hardworking farm lady with a very caring spirit for people, giving freely to others. Keith and Roberta Widdifield
