Obituary For Anna deVeer Isaac

On Wednesday, October 21, 2015, Anna Isaac passed away at the age of 88, at Crooked Creek, AB, with her family by her side.

Anna was born to Gerhard and Katherine deVeer at Linden, AB on December 16, 1926. At the age of 3, she and her family moved to their homestead in the Peace Country. She loved to share many pioneer stories with her family.

Mom gave her heart to the Lord at a young age and lived her life reaching out to others with love and hospitality. She tragically lost her husband Abe Isaac as a young mother with 2 children. She married George Isaac in 1952 and together they farmed at Crooked Creek and Teepee Creek for many years.

She leaves to mourn, her children: Keith and Marian of Bow Island, AB, Virginia and Irvin Klassen, Florence and Brian Kosik, Kathy and Trevor Penner of Crooked Creek, AB, Wayne and Leone of Steinbach, MB, Noreen and Denver Eidse of Lavonia, Georgia, Clayton and Andrea of Hythe, AB, Heather and Don Woods of Ronan, Montana, Lorna and Gary Klassen of Oliver, BC and Garth and Jodi of Teepee Creek, AB; as well as 40 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

She was predeceased by her husband Abe Isaac in 1950, and George Isaac in 1989, infant daughter Dianne, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, son in-law Roy Mitchell, her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters.

The Funeral Service will take place on Sunday, October 25, at 10:30am at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, Crooked Creek, AB. Interment will take place at the Heart Valley Cemetery at 3:00pm. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Oliver’s Funeral Home.

    Another saint gone on to glory...You have our love and sympathy as you say your good byes...even though there is peace in knowing your Mother(grandmother) is at rest now, it is still so difficult to say that final farewell.
