Anna Ruth Hennig, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Wembley, AB, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Prairie Lakes Senior’s Community (formerly Points West Living), at the age of 88 years.

Anna was born in Stony Plain, AB, on July 26, 1930. She was raised in Stony Plain and Wembley.

She was always very giving and caring of others. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking care of her family.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Dorothy (Bob) Simpson, Phil (Daisy), Howard, Calvin (Jody), and Peter (Janet); 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; son in-law Jody Bain; sister Helen Wills; brother John (Anne) Schoepp; as well as many sisters in-law and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Siegfried, daughter Rita Bain, son Tim Hennig, infant son Martin, and nine brothers and sisters.

A Viewing will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018, at 6:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018, at 10:00am, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wembley.
