Barbara Smith, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Edson, AB, Vernon, BC, and Jasper, AB, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, in Grande Prairie, at the age of 60 years.

Barb was born on September 10, 1962, in High Prairie, AB, and lived in Edmonton, AB, for a number of years. Her family moved to Pine Point in the 70’s after stopping in Grande Cache, AB, first to check on job possibilities, but eventually decided on Pine Point. Barb moved back to Grande Cache from 1977 – 1978 in her late teens. She worked at the Big Horn restaurant in the Grande Cache Hotel.

Barb loved dressing up and going out for drinks and dinner. She had the biggest heart, and got along with everyone. Barb was a camp cook and all the guys and gals loved her.

Barb will be sadly missed by her spouse Ron Didow; son Cody (Gloria) Webber; as well as grandchildren: Leslie, Olivia, and Maddox.
