Barbara Ringle, a resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta, formerly of Debolt AB, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Prairie Lakes Senior Community at the age of 75 years.

Barb, in her retirement, picked up golf and she loved it. She also enjoyed researching her ancestry, spending many hours playing scrabble at her local senior’s center and being involved with the United Church.

Barb will be sadly missed by Robert, her husband of 56 years, her two children Diane (Jon) Jaynes and Gina (Clay) Case as well as her Grandchildren; Garrett, Annora, Trenton Jaynes and Annamay Case.

Barb will also be missed by her brother Lorne Weseen and her two sisters-in-law Irene Gitzel, and BettyMay (Jim) Pierce as well as her brother-in-law Ralph Schumacher.

Barb was predeceased by her parents: Lester and Doris (Nee- Powell) Weseen, siblings, Doreen (Fred) Hawes, Alice Schumacher, brothers: Wayne Weseen, Greg Weseen as well as brother-in-law Walter Gitzel and sister-in-law Phyllis Weseen.

I was so very privileged to work alongside Barb. She taught me many things as a new teacher and she became a dear friend. We appreciated so much the help that Bob and Barb and family gave us when our house burnt down. They insisted on taking our cattle and feeding them until we had our feet back under us. Our most sincere condolences to the family. Marilyn and Kent Bolton

My deepest condolences to the family. I remember how great of a kindergarden teacher she was and was lucky to be her student.

I am very sorry to hear of Barb's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Barb and Bob and their whole group at Heart River Golf Course on their yearly camping/golf trip. Barb really enjoyed the challenge that Heart River presented to her.
