Obituary For Beverly "Bev" Jean Savard

Beverly Jean Savard, resident of Horse Lake, AB, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 64 years.

Beverly was born in Hythe, AB where she resided until she and her husband moved their family back to Horse Lake First Nations in 2002. This is where she made her home and became known for her compassionate giving spirit, humble heart and witty sense of humor. Bev was a dedicated bus driver for the community, driving buses for 21 years. Bev was always ready to lend a helping hand and offer words of comfort to whomever needed it. Beverly was an affectionate, dedicated and hard-working individual who always put the needs of others ahead of her own.

Her family mattered so much to her. She married her beloved husband, Norm Savard, and they raised their four children whom she cherished. In her later years she found great pride and joy in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her passing will be mourned by many, and her memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around her with her unforgettable spirit.

Bev will be mourned by her children: Jason Savard, Jayme Savard, and Jesse Savard; her grandchildren: Marcus, Michelle, Lucas, Meadow, Kashton, Jay, Jase, Kai, Jayme Jr, Jarrett, Jewel, Jacobi, Alicia, Chloe, Korbyn, Olivia, Reigna, William, Rosa-Marie; great-grandchildren: Alina, Azura, Amelia, Damyias, Taizlee, Jack, Adeline, Kaleb, and Layton; siblings: Linda Desjarlais, Donald Ferguson, Darrell Ferguson, Harley Ferguson, Sylvia Anderson (Albert), Aaron Ferguson, Wade Ferguson, and Rene Ferguson.

Bev was predeceased by her beloved husband Norman Savard; daughter Jennifer Savard; as well as Stella Savard (nee Horseman), Ernest Ferguson, Blair Ferguson, Ronald “Hoss” Ferguson, Nellie Ferguson and Angus Davis.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 5:00 PM at the Horse Lake First Nations Multiplex (Horse Lakes 152B).

A Funeral Service will be held for Beverly on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Horse Lake First Nations Multiplex. Interment will follow afterwards at the Grande Prairie Cemetery (84th Avenue &112th Street).

    I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Bev's passing. Bev was the most beautiful giving person and never complained about all the upsets thrown her way over the years. Much love and prayers to the family from Lorrie (Boisvert) and Morley.
