Obituary For Brian Perry

It is with sadness that the family of John “Brian” Perry announce his passing on Sunday, January 28, 2018.

Brian was born February 23, 1946 in Cut Knife SK.

He enjoyed his life as a mechanic, truck driver, and instructor in Driver Education at GPRC. For the last seven years, he relished in his semi-retirement job as a gate attendant for Prospector Energy, mainly at the 4000 gate. He had a chance to relive many stories with the truck drivers and former students.

Brian is survived his wife Carol; daughter Barb; son Mike; grandson Brian; granddaughters Nicole and Ashley; great-grandchildren: Colton, Dakota, and Makayla; step-children: Cameron (Robin), Lesley (Andrew), and Jasmine; step-grandchildren: Damon, Kyley, Cole, Natalya, Conner, Owen, Janelle, Terrance, Kendra, Raymond, and D.J.; mother in-law Doris Tansem; sisters Jean, Kay, Pat, and Sharon (Bill); brothers and sisters in-law: Ken (Donna), Del, Brenda (Raymond), and Kelly (Randy); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife Reta; parents Percy and May; brother Alan; parents in-law: Emerson and Helen Mack, and Wally Tansem; and brothers in-law Harvey and Harry.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 1:00-4:00pm, at Safety City in Grande Prairie (10318 92 St.).

The family of Brian would like to thank the people who helped us in our time of need. The gentlemen from Rig 9, the Complete Crossing Co., Doug - Sniper, Toe – Kanata Plant, Dereck, Hannah, the medic personal and the rest of the people who helped, the Prospector Energy – WTS family, Mel and Marion, Roger, Ben and especially Joden, who went above and beyond showing us what a fantastic company we work for. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

    Our sincere condolences to all the Perry families. We always enjoyed sledding, visiting and socializing with Brian. He was a great man. RIP Brian. Our thoughts are with you all .
