Born August 27, 1976 in Peace River, Alberta, and it is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of Candace Dawn Keown on Monday, November 16, 2015 in Edmonton, Alberta, at the age of 39 years.

Candi was an extraordinary mother, wife, daughter, sister, and a friend to many. Candi's passion for life included spending time with her family, competitive figure skating, physical fitness, yoga and living a healthy life style. Her beautiful spirit, vibrant smile and gentle nature will always be a cherished and treasured memory. Although our hearts are broken we are truly blessed for having had Candi in our lives.

She will be forever loved and always remembered by her husband Chuck, daughter Olivia, step-son Josh, mother Donna (Mick Kroeger), father Curt, brother Colt (Julia), nephew Dray, niece Danika, her best friend Tasha Larson and family as well as a very large extended family.

The Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 1:00pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St).

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (222 Queen Street, Suite 1402 Ottawa, ON K1P 5V9).

I went to school with Candi from kindergarten until Grade 2. I haven't seen her in many years but remember well what a kind person with a gentle nature that she was. That's why I was friends with her, she kind and never unfair as some kids can be. Even at such a young age it was easy to see her true self shining through. And from what I have been reading she never changed. I'll remember all the times playing on the playground together and conversations about horses and skating lol. Sending love and light to all the family especially Olivia. *HUGS*

We, the Tri-Fitness Challenge family, were blessed to have known Candi in 2011. She came to St. Pete Beach, Florida and competed and did awesome. She was a member of the VO2 Max group from Grande Prairie. Candi and the rest of the group always wore a smile on their face during the entire event. We will honor her with a name plaque on a piece from the Obstacle Course this June. God Bless her family and RIP Candi - your Tri-Fitness family sends much love.
