Carmella Parenteau, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Edmonton, AB, passed away in Grande Prairie, at the age of 47 years.

Carmella was born on October 22, 1974, in Edmonton, AB, at the Misericordia Community Hospital. She obtained her degree at NAIT for accounting, and worked in bookkeeping ever since. She loved spending time with family. Everyone laughed when she was around; her loud, but endearing laugh always lit up a room.

Carmella was empathetic and would always go above and beyond for friends, family, and even strangers. She loved to take her family swimming at the local swimming pool. Lane Swim was her favourite.

Carmella will be sadly missed by her children: Brett Parenteau (Tristan Hamelin), Kayla Cardinal, and Jayda Parenteau; grandchildren Autumn Parenteau, Julius Hamelin, Harley Fenner, and Ivory Fenner; mother Hazel Ducharme; brother Mark Ducharme (Candace Bryce); niece Morgan Ducharme (Matt Friesen); great-nephew Lennox Ducharme; as well as great-niece Maria Friesen.

Carmilla was predeceased by her father Edwin Ducharme and brothers Morgan Parenteau and Merle Parenteau.

A private Viewing will be held for family and close friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 3:00pm, at Paddle Prairie Communiplex.
