Carol Nolan (nee Dometraschuk), of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2017, after a lengthy fight with Parkinson’s, at the age of 62 years.

Carol was a loving companion, mother and friend. When she was well, she spent her time between working for Alex Houssein, an employer of approximately 35 years, home, and the ANAF, where she spent many hours volunteering and being on the executive committee. She also spent many years as a provincial command secretary for the ANAF.

Carol left behind her loving companion Dwayne Smith; 2 daughters: Tiffany (Adam) and Stephanie (Julian); Dwayne’s 4 children: Michelle, Jeffery, Stefanie, and Crystal; sister Florence Gelech; brother Don (Marilyn) Dometraschuk; brother in-law Eric Lersey; sister in-law Shirley Dometraschuk; 4 nephews, 3 nieces, as well as many more cousins.

Carol was predeceased by her parents John Dometraschuk (June 8, 1971) and Mary Dometraschuk nee Luchak (September 2, 1999), brother Alex Dometraschuk, and sister Janet Lersey.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 1:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
