Catharina Maria Golding, resident of Grande Prairie, AB passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, August 16, 2020, at Heritage Lodge, at the age of 99 years, 5 days and 1 month before her 100^th birthday.

Catharina was born on Friday, September 21, 1920 in Haarlem, Holland, Netherlands. She also resided in Utrecht and Groningen, Netherlands. After the liberation of the city of Groningen during World War II, she met her future husband and moved to Canada to begin a new life. She resided most of her life in Grande Prairie.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Lukas (Ruby) Golding, Selwyn (Cyndy) Golding, Ferdinand (Wilhelmina) Golding, and Cathy (Steve) Closs; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous great great-grandchildren.

Catharina was predeceased by her husband Selwyn Golding, daughter Elsie May (Ed) Lentz, granddaughter Lorie McLeod, brother Wim Simons, and great-grandson Kadyn Lentz-Clark.

A family only Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020. A public Graveside Service will follow at 2:00pm at Grande Prairie Cemetery (84^th Ave. & 112^th St.).
