It is with heavy hearts, and great sadness we announce the passing of an amazing and strong woman who unfortunately lost a powerful battle to cancer. Catherine Sarah Basterash (nee Evans), resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at the age of 63 years.

Born January 13, 1957, in Vancouver, BC, Catherine spent many of her years living in the lower mainland and explored British Columbia through piloting work, and pleasures like camping and travel with friends and family.

She spent the last decade in Grande Prairie, spending time with family, and working for her dream bosses.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandma, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed by her four children: Dale, Nicci, Katie and Breanna; sister and brother in-law Ginny and Bob; grandchildren: Trystan, Brayden, Riley, Noah, Kayden, Bella, Samuel, Brooklyn, Alexander, Miah, and Anya; as well as her nieces, nephews, and many family members and friends such as Sue, Nan, Rita, Tina and Jodi.

Catherine was predeceased by her mother Faye; father Robert; as well as her grandmother Mae.

Waiting at the rainbow bridge will be her many fur-babies that she loved.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
