Obituary For Charlene Blinda Smith

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charlene Blinda Smith (nee Brush), a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother, who left this world surrounded by her loved ones, on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at the age of 67 years.

Born in Grande Prairie, AB, Charlene was a true country girl at heart. Whether it was the gentle rustle of the wind through the fields or the soft sounds of her beloved horses, the country was where her soul truly felt at home.

She is survived by her loving husband, Donald, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges. Charlene was a loving mother to Dustin (Amanda) and stepmother to Trudy, Ashley (Chantel), Spencer, Donald Jr., and Desiree (Nathan), all of whom she loved and cared for as her own. She took great pride in being a grandmother to Payten, Emmerson, Rylee, Shay-Lean, Shahanna, and Embrey, Max and Thea who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Charlene is now reunited in heaven with her parents; Barbara and Blinn Brush, and her beloved siblings and their spouses; Donna and Ken Thomas; Cheryl and Reed Shea; Margery and Gary Rigler; and her brother Terry Brush (Janice).

Though she will be dearly missed by her family and friends, the love and kindness she shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Grovedale Community Hall on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM.

Rest peacefully, Charlene. You are forever in our hearts.
