I was so surprised and saddened to get your notice of Charlie's death. It is hard on you, your brother and sisters to lose a sibling. I always admired Charlie's quiet sense of humour...he was so much like your Dad that way. You're all in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill was a special friend with a great sense of humour and an easy laid back way about him that I admired. We could spend hours talking about the farming community and locals that we both knew, it was always catch up time when we got together. I will miss him and never forget him. Judy my condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. God bless you, keep up and guide you in the days and weeks to come, if you need anything just call. Blaire and Deb

My heart was saddened three days ago to learn that Bill had passed away on July 11th. We had met and become friends during the summer of 2013, shortly after my month long stay in Cross Cancer Institute, receiving treatment for Multiple Myeloma [bone- marrow cancer.] Bill and I kept in touch by phone, text msg and seeing each other on his many trips to Edmonton. Last summer, I met Bill in Edmonton, when I had come out from Vancouver Island and was his chauffeur back to Valley View after a stay in hospital. It was great to spend some time in northern Alberta at his new place and enjoyed Bill showing me his original homestead. We spent a couple of hours walking thru the property. Judy, you were very good to me as well in my visit! The summer before in 2014, while Bill was on a holiday to Nova Scotia, he stopped into Lake Killarney to visit with my father, enjoying the country hospitality of the maritimes. Bill frequently mentioned his visit with my retired father during our phone conversations. I thought the world of Bill, as we shared and identified with our health challenges, both of us able to encourage each other and keep a most often very positive outlook on the future. I will miss our talks and forever treasure the memories of our friendship. Blessings, condolences and love to all of Bill's family!
