Sorry to hear of Chucks passing. May his family remember the happy times during this period of mourning. Chuck and I and several other fellows from Beaverlodge, Wembley and Sexsmith played basketball in the GP men's league in the early 1970's. In fact we won the championship in 1972 as the Beaverlodge Jaguars. I still have the clipping with the team photo and writeup from the Herald. Don Nelson, Beaverlodge

Oh Boy! Meeting Chuck from the first time to the last time he had a smile and the laugh to go with that infectious smile. always good hearted and stories that would be entertaining for hours. The visits were never short as he liked to talk about the GM days, horses, the new business and how proud he was of his son Jerry. A father and son bond like that mirrored that my father and myself enjoyed. Nothing beats working along side with your dad and visa versa. I am so sorry for the loss of Chuck to his family, his friends, the horse community and the powersport world. Chuck was a legend, a true gentleman, and a pillar of the community. Thank you for your time with Chuck , the many stories and the laughter. God Bless you.

So sorry for the family and friends loss! The Quarter Horse world lost a horse racing legend! His horses alone with his trainer Gerry Bouchard got me on my first race saddle. Many laughs and fond memories come to me when I think of Chuck . They will be racing in the sky ! God Bless
