Obituary For Charles Maxwell Magee
Charles Maxwell Magee, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, formerly of Middleton, Nova Scotia, passed away on August 23, 2022 at his home at the age of 64 years.
Charles was born and raised in Middleton, NS to Gerald and Vida (Betty) Magee on June 27, 1958. At a young age Charles went chasing opportunity in Thompson, MB to work in the mines but he said there were no girls there - so he quickly moved on to Alberta to work in the oilpatch which he did up to retirement in approximately 2010. In 1994 he met Delphine Lemky and they went on to marry and have two amazing sons, Maxwell and Connor whom he was very proud of.
Charles was very energetic, had a good sense of humour and loved to play with his boys when they were young. He loved to read and also enjoyed movies, documentaries and was a big history buff. He enjoyed meeting new people and was very chatty to everyone he met. Prior to his declining health, he loved riding his bike around the city in the summer, loved hot weather, cold beer and being outside boating, jet skiing, and dragging his boys on long, long walks. Charles could make a mean steak and loved pancakes! One family tradition was to have a huge breakfast with eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon and pancakes called “The Big Magee Family Breakfast”. It was the highlight of the boys’ week!
He will be sadly missed by his sons Maxwell and Connor; former spouse Delphine Lemky; and siblings Archie Magee (Heather Doy), Dale Magee (Jane Weller), Becky Magee (Doug Fraughton), Kathy (Ken) Reimer, Melinda (Lee) Riswold and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charles was predeceased by his parents Gerald and Vida (Betty) Magee; nephew Patrick Riswold; and both sets of grandparents.
A private family viewing will be held in Grande Prairie. A private family graveside gathering will take place at the Three Hills Cemetery in Three Hills, AB on Sunday, September 18, 2022where he will be laid to rest near his parents Gerald and Betty.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to his sons Maxwell and Connor to help with funeral expenses and/or college tuition for Connor. E-transfers can be sent to megamax1031@gmail.com

Sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. Many years have passed since I'd seen him . The life of a party with a great smile like his siblings. Playing football once him and his friends from Greenwood against us from Middleton. Charlie had a collision of incredible force with the biggest guy on our team. Charlie never flinched. Tough farm kid RIP

I do also remember picking eating corn with wheelbarrels .. at Arch Magees in Kingston.... Dale, Archie , Charlie and I racing back and forth with the corn that the pickers picked... we were very fast and very young....Miss all the family ...Charles was a great man with a great sense of humor.
