Cherisse Wetzel, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Grande Prairie Care Centre, at the age of 63 years.

Cherisse was born in Edmonton, AB, to Myrna Joy Wetzel (nee Pollock). She worked for 40 years for the Government of Alberta in Social Services. She was an avid collector of Star Trek memorabilia, and a voracious reader; often reading 30 novels in 30 days. She also loved strawberry motif collectables, and anything Clint Eastwood or Bon Jovi.

Cherisse will be sadly missed by her husband of 32 years Barry Meng; sister Sandra (Wayne); brother Rob (Robyn); nephew Joel; as well as extended family and countless friends and colleagues made from her 40 years of public service.

Cherisse was predeceased by her grandparents Joe and Pauline Pollock; mother Myrna Joy Wetzel (nee Pollock); as well as her fur babies Sheba Brandy and Murphy Brown.

As per Cherisse’s final wishes, no service or interment will be held.
