Obituary For Cheryl Lynn (Purcha) Johnson

Cheryl Lynn (Purcha) Johnson, longtime resident of Grande Prairie, AB passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, in Grande Prairie at the age of 44 years. Cheryl was born in Williams Lake, BC but grew up in 100 Mile House, BC.

Cheryl was a beautiful, spiritual human being with a generous and loving heart. She was the youngest of 11 children. She was true to her friends and to those that loved her. She had an amazing green thumb just like her mom Tillie, growing some of the tastiest carrots and green peas.

She always looked beautiful and taught her two daughters Tylena and Arionna to go through life to “Be humble and kind". They were her pride and joy.

She was thankful for what she had and gave to those in need. She was admired for her strength and beauty inside and out.

She had several important people in her life that truly made a difference to her, you know who you are. She loved all of you!

She is survived by her father Ted (100 Mile House); 7 brothers: Jim (Pearlene), Dave (Brenda), Dean (Karen), Dale (Sandy), Don (Sam), Paul (Val), Kelly; and 3 sisters: Sharon, Shelley, and Grace (Mike).

She was met at the gates of heaven by her mom Tillie, countless family members and some very close friends whom she loved dearly.

"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure." We love you!

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grande Prairie (10404 102 St.). All are welcome to a luncheon at Tranquille after the interment at Grande Prairie Cemetery.

All are welcome to a gathering will be held Friday evening, May 6, at 6:00 pm, at Ramona’s Pizza (8805 Resources Road).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society (200, 325 Manning Road NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5).
