Obituary For Cheryl Renee Mosenko Housman
It is with great sadness that we announce that Cheryl Housman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Cheryl was born December 14, 1956 and was raised on a farm outside of Sexsmith. She went to school in Sexsmith where she met Randy Housman, whom she went on to marry and share forty-two wonderful years with.
After a brief time in the Edmonton area, they moved back to Sexsmith to farm and raise a family. Cheryl was a creative person that enjoyed painting, gardening, and beautifying her yard. She is remembered by her nieces and nephews for her many hours of crafting with them. She was hard working and loved her farm and no one touched her combine.
She and friend Glennys owned and operated GC’s bedding and Linen. Her health deteriorated the last year and a half due to cancer, but she was able to enjoy the company of family and friends to the end.
She is survived by her husband Randy, son Jeff (Angie), son Dave (Candace), mother Grace, and siblings: Cindy, Carrie (Ted), Colleen, Dexter (Carla), Brad (Chris), and Claris (Darrin); sister in-law Darlene (Paul), as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son Trevor, father Ivan, mother in-law Anne, and father in-law William.
The family wishes to thank Points West Hospice for the excellent care.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Sexsmith Civic Center, on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 11:00am.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (103, 9805 97 St., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8B9).

Thinking of you Jeff, Angie and the entire family at this time. I only met Cheryl a couple of times, but she was always smiling and kind to me. I was envious of her beautiful garden and the giant turnip she gave to Angie. My first kittens ever came from Cheryl an Randy's barn. Nothing I can say will really make a difference, but know you in mine and Rhett's thoughts and if you need anything we are here for you both. Love Megan & Rhett
