Obituary For Cindy Lewis McKeeman
Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our beloved Cindy after a courageous battle with cancer. Cindy passed away at Points West Hospice, on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the age of 58 years.
Cindy was born on February 11, 1958 in Grande Prairie, AB to Doug and Ellen Lewis. Cindy had a beautiful spirit that touched so many lives. Her infectious smile and laugh would capture you immediately. Cindy’s sense of humor, her kindness, and her down to earth enthusiasm for life would draw you in. She had strength and determination like no other. She was the happiest when around her grandkids; they were her greatest joy.
Cindy had a genuine ability to make you feel special and her generosity was overwhelming. She loved to entertain and socialize with her loved ones.
She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Lloyd; daughter Shannon (Bryce); sons: Michael and Ryan (Sarah); her five beautiful grandchildren: Brayden, Avery, Blake, Kallen and Kamryn; as well as many close friends and relatives.
Cindy was predeceased by her father Doug Lewis.
A Celebration of Cindy’s Life will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 1:00pm, at People’s Church in Grande Prairie (11850 108 St.).
Memorial donations may be made to BC Cancer Foundation. (http://bccancerfoundation.com/ways-donate/gift-memory).

Cindy and Lloyd opened their hearts and home to me when I was a young, homesick teacher new to Grande Prairie. We had many laughs over the 3 years I lived in Alberta, and Cindy always thought to include me in social functions. Cindy had created a 'family' of friends like me; she always had a welcoming smile, lots of food and drink and such a kind heart. When I look back on my fond memories in Grande Prairie, Cindy was one of the most special people. Thinking of her family, dear friends and sending love and peace from Ontario. Rachel (Gavine) Vieira

To the McKeeman family, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Cindy's passing. She was a wonderful person, always smiling and whenever we chatted had a good visit. Lost contact over the past few years, as we all do. Her presence will be missed but have to remember all the good times to keep her close. Deepest sympathy to all of you, my thoughts will be with you this week as it will be a tough one. Remember each day forward you will always miss her, but with time the hurt lessens. God bless all of you.

Throughout the years we enjoyed many good times together. Cindy always had a way of making you feel comfortable. Looking into her eyes they glittered like stars when she talked about her kids, grandkids, they were her whole life. Lloyd, she commented may times that you were her rock. You made her feel so loved. Dennis and I are so blessed having her in our life. We know that she will be with you all tomorrow surrounded with angels. Rest in peace Cindy. Love Dennis & Maria
