Obituary For Clarence Arthur Pool

Clarence Pool, resident of Hythe, AB, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the age of 71 years.

Clarence was born in Beaverlodge on June 22, 1952, to Lee and Opal Pool. He grew up in Goodfare, attending the Peace School of Hope in Grande Prairie, before transferring to Mrs. Russel’s class in Beaverlodge when he was twelve.

Clarence spent many years helping his father farm and operate a guide and outfitting business around Kakwa Lake. Although they spent several years doing this, horses were never Clarence’s love. He eventually left the farm, moving to Hythe, where he had lived for the past several years.

Clarence will be fondly remembered as he slowly peddled his bike through the streets of Hythe, carefully pausing at each stop sign, while on his way for coffee at the tire shop.

Clarence will be missed by his sisters, Ruth and Gladys, dear friend Jim Geary, as well as many nieces, nephews and greats.

Clarence was predeceased by his parents Lee and Opal Pool, brother Ken, niece Gina, and nephew Darren.

A Memorial service will be held for Clarence at a later date.

I will always remember Clarence, My grandpa Fred Gladue use to take me to Lee Pools house and they would hang out and Clarence would take me to see the horses. I got to ride the horses as he would walk them around. He was kind and always had a big smile. My family from Horselake were friends with your family for a long time -sending condolences and prayers for your family during this time of mourning.
