Clifford Wayne Childers, resident of Spirit River, AB, formerly of Cowichan Bay, BC, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017, in Spirit River, at the age of 69 years.

Clifford was born in Sexsmith, AB on March 18, 1948. He lived in Eaglesham, AB with his parents William Lee Childers and Agnes (Childers) Kozuback and his sister Joyce Dyrda.

He worked in many places driving truck and operating heavy equipment. For the last two years, he lived in Spirit River with his mother and his caregiver and companion Dinorah Cresswell.

He will be sadly missed by his mother Agnes Kozuback, companion and caregiver Denorah Cresswell, sister Joyce Dyrda; daughters: Sherrie (Mark) Jensen and Cori Childers; and grandson Matthew Jensen.

He was predeceased by his father William Lee Childers.

A Memorial Gathering and Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, from 2:00-4:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
