Obituary For Cody Roy Sundby
Cody was born on April 4, 1985 in Fairview, AB, to his mother Jean. He was also welcomed into the world by his older brother Jason. He spent many of his early years on his grandparent’s Roy and Irene's farm.
From a young age, it was obvious that Cody was compassionate, always the first to help out. When Cody met Darcy and his step-siblings, Jean knew their family would be complete.
After Cody left home, he struck out to find his place in the world with travel and career.
While in the Philippines, Cody met the love of his life Jobel, whom he had three beautiful children with: Rico, Tisha, and Leya. It was obvious to anyone that knew him how much he loved his family and that he put them first.
Cody worked hard for his family driving truck and it was there that he was taken tragically in a workplace accident on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Jobel; children: Rico, Tisha, and Leya; parents Jean and Darcy Peterson; mother in-law Tessie Sison; siblings Stacy Peterson, Kelly (Dallas) Martel, Jason (Sherlana) Sundby, Lindsey (Ricky) Peterson, and Cody (Brittany) Peterson; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly, a life taken too soon.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Roy and Irene Sundby, and father in-law Jose Sison.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 1:00pm, Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.).
Memorial donations may be sent to Children's Wish Foundation of Canada (200, 9750 51 Ave. NW, Edmonton, AB, T6E 0A6).
