Obituary For Cory Jonathan Wiebe
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cory Wiebe, resident of Vernon, BC, and Grande Prairie, AB, on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the age of 36.
Cory was a gentle soul with the kindest heart. His love for his family and friends was endless and his compassion for animals was unmeasurable.
He will be greatly missed by his spouse Atarah, their fur babies 'Princess Buttercup' and 'Bootsie'; his mother Helena; his brothers: Kevin, Jordan (Dawn), and Blaine (Krystal); his nieces and nephews: Paxton, Olivia, Weston, Benjamin, Everly, and Azpheria; as well as Grandpa and Grandma Martens and Grandma Wiebe.
He is now reunited with his father, Peter Doble-Wiebe; Grandma Katharina (Wiebe) Martens; his Grandpa Frank Wiebe; along with his cherished dogs: Buddy, D-Loc, and Knoxville.
Cory had a compassionate heart, guided by his love for God. We find comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunited with his dad and embraced by his Heavenly Father, where he will forever be surrounded by their love.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024, at 11:00 am, at the Grande Prairie Alliance Church (15502 102 St, Grande Prairie, AB). Luncheon to follow after the service.
Memorial Donations may be made to Bandaged Paws Animal Rescue Association (12220 104 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8A8).

In Loving Memory of Cory I pray this message finds you strength during this very difficult time. No words could ever truly encompass the depth of sorrow that your family is experiencing right now. As I reflect on my time knowing Cory, I want to share how profoundly he touched my life and the special bond he developed with his mother, a bond that will forever remain etched in my heart. Cory had a remarkable way of connecting with everyone around him. His dry sense of humor always brought a smile to our faces, and his passion for spending time with family was truly unparalleled. It was evident how much he cherished those moments, and it resonated with all of us who were fortunate enough to witness it. One of my fondest memories of Cory is his incredible work ethic. He had a way of inspiring those around him to excel and strive for greatness. I am particularly grateful for the invaluable culinary lesson he imparted to my family—mixing corn with mashed potatoes and smothering the combination in gravy. To this day, every time I prepare this dish, I am reminded of Cory, and it warms my heart to think of the laughter and joy that surrounded that simple yet special meal. Thank you, Cory, for the wonderful memories and the lasting impact you've made on my life. Your spirit will live on in our hearts and our traditions. Praying for your family comfort and peace in the days ahead. Sincerely, Wert Faimly

Corey had become one of my closest friends one of the only ppl I knew I could count on no matter what the situation. The nicest person I have ever had the pleasure to know. No matter what he was always happy and in good spirits, and our dogs absolutely loved him as he was so gentle and loving towards them. I'll miss him very much and things are definitely different without him here.

I only met Cory once but instantly liked him. An amazing young man taken way too soon from all who loved him. I'm sorry I won't get to know Cory much better. My thoughts are with his family. Auntie Marj Foster.
