Obituary For Curtis Edward Cameron
Curtis Edward Cameron, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, at his home, at the age of 62 years.
Curtis E. Cameron was born November 27, 1954, the first child of Edward Robert “Ted” Cameron and Roberta Anne (nee Wood) Cameron. He was a life-long resident of the Flying Shot Lake Area.
Curtis was raised by his Aunt and Uncle Alex and Jean Cameron from the age of 5 years. He attended Avondale, Montrose Jr. High, and the Composite High School.
After High School, Curtis was a Journeyman Partsman at Windsor Ford for 35 years. Curt was an avid outdoors man, pilot, SARS responder, and environmentalist.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Joan Marie (nee Smith); children: Terri-Lynn Taciuk and Ted Cameron; step-children: Barb (Vic) Warkentin and Norman (Kim) Morrison; grandchildren: Ayden Cameron, Aryn Taciuk, Kelly (Chad) Warkentin, Kyle (Sharisa) Warkentin, Katie Morrison, Alex Morrison, and Jacob Morrison. He is also survived by his parents: Alex and Jean Cameron; siblings: Dianne (Bob) Almond, Candis Chateauneuf, Terry (Lori) Cameron; Shelley (Alex) McDonald, and Sandee (Dale) VanVolkingburgh; as well as all of his loved nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Ted and Anne Cameron; step-mother Claris Johnson; and brother in-law Camille Chateauneuf.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 2:00pm, at Dimsdale Hall.
Memorial donations may be made to Heart and Stroke of Alberta (Unit 109, 10126-120 Ave., Grande Prairie, AB, T8V 8H9).
