Obituary For Dale H. Wine
Dale H. Wine, resident of Valleyview, AB, formerly of Bentley, AB, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018, at Valleyview General Hospital, at the age of 89 years.
Dale was born in Bentley, AB, on July 3, 1928. He worked in the Bentley area on threshing teams and left to seek employment in the Edmonton area at the age of 17. He later started in the oil business in the Fort St. John area where he met his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Wine (nee Crook). They settled in Valleyview in 1955 and remained there. Dale worked for Haliburton and Amerada Hess. He later owned his own business until his retirement.
Dale loved fishing, hunting, and flying his airplane. Later, he also enjoyed driving a boat near the BC costal community of Kitimat until 2017. He was always joking about his missing digit that he lost at the tender age of 2 in a lawnmowing accident.
Dale always remembered who had helped him out and made sure to help them out in return.
He will be sadly missed by his children: Sherrie (Dwight) Salahub, Cindy Wine, and Brett (Lynda) Wine; grandchildren: Jason Arter, Craig (Jen) Salahub, Tyler (Janette) Salahub, Bridget (Travis) Yates, Jackie (Ross) Polsky, Caroline (Art) Arter, and Dustin Wine; great-grandchildren: Ben Polsky, Hudson Salahub, Daniel Polsky, Natalie Polsky, and Aven Yates.
He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Alma Wine.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 1:00pm, at Valleyview Memorial Hall (4432 52 Ave.).
Memorial donations may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (150, 9405 50 St., Edmonton, AB, T6B 2T4).

From" The Crerar Family"-" Sending out Sincere Condolence" - "Sorry for your family's loss, as Family Friends we will miss Dale" -with his sense of humour and personality with a Flare,we move apart and years have past, but those were the days of found memories spent as friends and neighbours , we visited his home in Valley view, when His Beautiful wife Dorothy was alive,we seen his Beautiful Home he built special & unique for his wife and it showed how much he Loved her, I admired him for that special quality , years later I remember once traveling true to alberta from B.C and I happened to be stopping at the same gas station in around Valmont b.c . He was going to Vancouver to help his son Brett renovate, I believe he had a flat deck trailer full of wood to bring Brett. He might have been in his sixties.. I admired him for his strong family bond he showed just then to help his son miles away.. As child hood friends,of Dale &Dorothy 's children -we all still consider there family- family Friends, we will miss Dale .. We hope truly all is well with your families at this time of loss..for.
