Obituary For D'Arcy Marie Draycott
D’Arcy Marie Draycott, resident of Eaglesham, formerly of Sundre, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018, at the age of 64 years.
D’Arcy was born March 2, 1954 to Clara and Gerry Draycott. D’Arcy was a character that enjoyed life. She loved all animals and was a big supporter of the SPCA, World Wildlife Fund and the Animal Rescue Site. She loved gardening, whether it was on her deck or on FarmVille. When she heard the sound of a Harley, she always said it gave her a feeling of, “Rumblies in her Tumblies”.
She will be sadly missed by her father Gerald Draycott of Regina, SK; sisters: Judy Hall (Lonnie) of Sturgis, South Dakota, Terry Cameron (Doug Kampen) of Clairmont, Tracey Mollison (Bob) of Eaglesham, and Trina McGuire (Dale) of Regina, SK; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and close friends.
She was predeceased by her mother Clara Smith and brothers Brian Smith and Bill Draycott.
There will be no funeral but a Celebration of life will be held this summer.
Memorial donations may be made to the World Wildlife Fund (410 245 Eglinton Ave. East, Toronto, ON, M4P 3J1) or to the ALS Society of Alberta (5418 97 St., Edmonton, AB, T6E 5C1).

It is with great sadness that I send condolences to you all on the passing of D'Arcy. I have wonderful childhood memories of our times together and remember some trouble we got into as well. 🙂 I will remember D'Arcy's beautiful voice, she could sing Patsy Cline like nobody else. And reunions were always more fun when D'Arcy was there for sure. Sending big hugs and squeezes.

My heartfelt sympathy to your family. We rode the same bus for a time in Rycroft, and recently reconnected with D'arcy moved to Eaglesham. I enjoyed visiting with her when we met at random at the golf course. She had such a wonderful outlook on life. We always had a good laugh about something. She is gone far to soon.
