Obituary For David Smichura
David Smichura, resident of Sexsmith, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018, at home, at the age of 57 years.
David was born November 8, 1960 in Grande Prairie. He worked at various jobs as a labourer. He was also a farmer for many years.
He loved flowers and gardening. He was kind, generous, and giving and took care of his parents for many years until their passing.
He will be sadly missed by his brothers: Jimmy Smichura, and Jerry (Esther) Smichura; aunts: Marigold (Bob) Gorgichuck of Peace River, Mary Smichura, and Olga Kosinski; as well as many cousins and wonderful neighbours whom he loved very much.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Agnes Smichura, brother Terry, and many aunts and uncles.
Interment will be held on Friday October 5, 2018, at 12:00pm, at Teepee Creek Cemetery.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00pm at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Lunch to follow. All are welcome to the interment and the service.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice or perform a random act of kindness in David’s honour.
