Obituary For Day Isley

Day Isley, resident of Beaverlodge, formerly of Elmworth, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital, at the age of 87 years.

Day was born in Grande Prairie on April 27, 1930. He spent his years farming and logging in the Elmworth area until his passing.

Day always loved a good joke and was hard working man. He expected everyone to work hard and respected a man that did everything he could to provide for his family. His love of the farm and for his beloved horses was known by all that knew him.

He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 65 years Joan Isley; children Roy (Darlene) Isley, Morgan Isley, Judy Isley (John Pitts), Shelley Isley (Ken Kapeller), and Trevor (Lucy) Isley; grandchildren: Clayton Isley, Cory Isley, Celsy Isley, Monica Quinn, Amanda Frederiksen, Tyna Mosher, Janna Livingston, Dayln Livingston, Austin Isley, Peyton Isley, Crystal Watson, Jarrod Isley, Jace Isley, and Baili Isley; great-grandchildren: Morgan Isley, Courtney Isley, Kennedy Isley, Jordan Isley, Brittany Ferns, Hayley Watson, Jayden Watson, Kyler Watson, Brook Frederiksen, Owen Frederiksen, Austin Frederiksen, Eastyn Fredricksen, Cody Hommy, Carter Hommy, Joary Mosher, Parker Mosher, McKenna Mosher, Ryley Isley, Colby Isley, Taylor Isley, Ty Isley, Nolan Isley, and Linden Isley; and great great-grandson Renley Ferns.

He was predeceased by his brothers Roy and Emery, sisters Margaret and Daisy, father Ernie, mother Mary, step-mother Eva, and grandson Colin.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2018, at 1:00pm, at Beaverlodge Alliance Church (409 10 St.). A Viewing will be held prior at 11:45am.

Memorial donations may be made to Beaverlodge Hospital Foundation (Box 480, Beaverlodge, AB, T0H 0C0).
