Dan Kawcuniak passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2016, from cancer, at Points West Hospice in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 68 years.

He was born on October 25, 1948, in Rosthern, SK to the Dmytrowich family. Dennis was raised in Rosthern by his loving parents, Steve and Emily Kawcuniak.

As an adult, Dan lived life on his terms. He settled in Grande Prairie, AB with his children and beloved dog Fred, and remained there for 25 years. Dan loved sports, music, spending time with his family, and his career as a painter.

Dennis will be sadly missed by his mother Emily; sisters: Bev (Rudyk) and Delores (Klapatiuk); brother Les (Mazurek); children: Dan and Angel Kawcuniak; grandchildren: Brayden, Serenity, Hope, and Justice; as well as many more family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Steve Kawcuniak; brother Ronnie Dmytrowich; brother in-law Barry Klapatiuk; and other family Nick Dmytrowich.
